The coast of Tetouan is divided into two different strips. The first of them goes from the border with the Spanish city of Ceuta to the holiday village of Martil. This area is fully developed, but developed in a respectful way that has taken the environment into account. In Tetouan’s coast, the maximum allowed height is 3 floors, so no towers of apartments spoiling the scenery. You can find all sorts of apartments and villas similar to those in the Spanish coast but at lower prices and in a more exotic setting. However, the roads are modern and you’ll get all what you need for a relaxing stay: swimming pools and golf, restaurants and coffee-shops, marinas, etc. On top of it the climate is never suffocating and swimming is totally safe as these waters are from the Mediterranean sea and not from the ocean. The second strip of the coast goes from where the previous one ends in Martil, up to the small fishing village of Jebha. This area is very virgin compared to the first one. Here, people who love nature will feel really at home and it’s easy to find small beaches almost desert and there are plenty of mountains for hiking. On top of it, as urban development has barely arrived to this coast, prices are low and it is still possible to find sea-looking properties at affordable prices.
